2. The Magic Number 3

Not many of us have the luxury of having a closet or a walk-in wardrobe full of new clothes. Unless you are born with a silver spoon or you are bless with countless of sponsors, I have to admit playing dress-up can be a pain in the ass. No kidding.

To begin with, I’m no fashionista; just a humble girl next door. It took me quite awhile to get the hang of mixing and matching my clothes. Frankly, I wasn’t particularly interested in what I was wearing initially. Until sometime back, I opened my wardrobe and goes “OH NO! I DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING ELSE TO WEAR!!” I’m pretty sure that at some point, all of us (girls) experience that situation at least once in our lifetime.

No matter how many clothes we own, we will keep staring at the opened closet, thinking what to wear.

So here’s the trick that I always do to save myself from the problem of “I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR”:

1. Decide on the colour of the day.

If you are a hijabi like me, I always decide the colour of my hijab first before deciding on the clothes to wear.

I realized that people tend to notice my hijab rather than my clothes hence I take careful care in choosing my hijab first.

2.  Mix and match the colour of the day with the colour of your dress code

I’m pretty sure you will have the common neutral colours: black, white, grey in that closet of yours. What I usually do is to mix the colour of my choice with these colours. You can NEVER go wrong with that. Heh

But here’s the ‘rule’: Always stick to the max of 3 colours. Unless you can pull off the overly rainbow colours, I suggest to stick with the ‘rule’. And oh ladies, that includes your handbag, accessories, and shoes.

Of course there are days which I’m just plain lazy. And that’s when my T-shirt and jeans comes in handy. :)
